Our online weight loss surgery support group is a safe space to receive support and share ideas with others.
Who is this for:
Anyone who:
is considering weight loss surgery (e.g. sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass)
has had weight loss surgery
is supporting a loved one who is having/has had surgery
Individuals who are looking for support or to connect with others in the surgery community
People who are open, non-judgemental listeners, who are willing to be vulnerable if they choose to share
What happens during a session?
The group is led by one of our team at Melbourne Weight Loss Surgery, however, this is a peer support group, meaning questions or challenges discussed are driven by the needs of the attendees.
The host is there to assist when required, however, you are encouraged to offer advice, tips and support from your own lived experience.
No one understands surgery better than others who have been through it all before!
How big are the groups?
Registrations are limited to a maximum of 10 per support group.
This helps to ensure that all participants are able to interact if they would like to.
